Run
Comments: Went out too fast, was sticking with a group of guys I knew and we hit the first mile right around 5:36. A couple of us fell back after that. While another guy went on to set a really good PR. Went through the turnaround at 17:45 pace but I knew I'd die a bit since I was training through this race and had the fast first miler. But I was still aiming for a 17:50-55 is 5k at this point. Was still feeling good at the 2mile mark at 11:35ish. But since it was a training race I didn't have the motivation to kick the last 600m with some guys. I probably lost 5-7 seconds there due to giving up, which probably worked out for the best. What would you do differently?: Nothing ran well for running and cycling the day before, my run was where I wanted it to be for the sprint tri the next week.(Silver Lake) Post race
Warm down: Same 2mile run that I did for warm-up What limited your ability to perform faster: no fresh legs. :) Event comments: Good competitive 5k for the south houston area Last updated: 2007-05-11 12:00 AM

2 mile run busted out a good sweat due to the 90% humidity. But got to get use to that.. it's not going anywhere.
