Sunny
Total Time = 1h 10m 2s
Overall Rank = 27/209
Age Group = 35-39M
Age Group Rank = 6/17
Pre-race routine:

Woke up ridiculously early (2am) and could not get back to sleep. Ate PB&J, drank a cup of coffee, had some water with GU in in, and ate a GU before the swim.
Event warmup:

Swam a bit. Used a little deep heating muscle rub to loosen up and some ALeve to make all the pain go away, worked awesome!.
Swim
  • 07m 40s
  • 440 yards
  • 01m 44s / 100 yards
Comments:

Overall a pretty good swim. Felt like I held my own and never got tired. Still need to practice speed drills, should be able to swim that faster.
Transition 1
  • 01m 10s
Comments:

Had some problems clipping in. Need to have the pocket son my singlet sewn shut, lost some time putting my shirt on. Did a good job of getting a GU in.
What would you do differently?:

Need to put helmet on, then sunglasses. Wear singlet in such short swims.
Bike
  • 38m 27s
  • 15 miles
  • 23.41 mile/hr
Comments:

Overall an awesome ride. By far the fastest ever in a Tri or TT. Almost at 24MPH!!! Alot of really good riders. Did a great job of getting feet out of shoes and riding with them on top of shoes. Caught 4 people in transition because of it.
What would you do differently?:

Nothing.
Transition 2
  • 00m 34s
Comments:

Had troble getting shoes on. Forgot to Body Glide feet. Had to stop for a second on the run and adjust tongue of shoes. Finally remembered to run with race belt and put on while joging out of transistion.
What would you do differently?:

Nothing
Run
  • 22m 11s
  • 3 miles
  • 07m 23s  min/mile
Comments:

Obviously bombed mile 2 due to lack of confidence in the run. Was expecting a callapse that never happened. Got passed by 3 people in age group on run, finished 6th. BUMMER!!!
What would you do differently?:

Push harder. A sprint is definitelly easier than Oly, don't finish with gas in the tank.
Post race
What limited your ability to perform faster:

Mind, gut.

Awesome job.  You had a great time and a super fast bike.  It was hard to not get caught up in a pack sometimes.

Thanks to everybody, awesome group of people!! It was a fun race, I look forward to hopefully doing 2 & 3. Long drive, but a nice course and pretty well organized. My age group is crazy. I estimated going in that I would need a 1:08 to place and I was right on. Look forward to meeting some people out there next time.
