Wow i'm just full of questions lately!

Just wondering if anyone is doing the June 16th Xterra in Buffalo Creek or has done this before.  It looks like so much fun, but it's coming up so soon I can't decide if I can be ready by then or not!  According to their website there's only one person signed up for my age group and it says "dropped" next to her name.  Hey I could win!  lol  Anyway....any thoughts on this race?

I will be dong the full distance event along with one of my friends at work.  This will be my first Exterra.  We also have a couple of first-timers (for any tri) doing the short course.  Given that the short course is sold out, I would look carefully at the full distance event.  It will likely be longer than a typical Olympic distance race in duration given the MTB ride and the trail running.  If you have the base and are comfortable swimming a mile,  spending 2+ hours on the MTB and 1+ hours of running than you can give it a try.  If you are not quite there yet it may be best to skip this one and hit another event later on.  I have been told these events are lots of fun so even if you dont do this one, the next Exterra on July 29 may be a good one to try.

The short course is sold out?  Really?  Wow I checked not long ago and they said it wasn't.  I guess that makes that decision easier!   I wonder if I could still do the aquabike....
