Oh my gosh..... what's the elevation on this one ? I have a half mary tomorrow in Hickory NC that has 1150 ft of climbing. Your race probably has that in the first 3 miles. I feel better...LOL..

Good luck !

I think you climb up to 4,279 feet. It's my first marathon so i'm excited! Good luck with your race. I love 1/2 marathons.

The total climbing for this race is 3300 feet. That is no joke. Looks like you've put in some good workouts so far. What is your longest run ? Just curious, as I'm curious about doing this race but I judt don't have enough time to build a proper base.

I would love to it this year. Completed a very hilly half mary Sat. It had 1150 ft total climbing. GMM is twice as long but has THREE times the climbing. I can't imagine doing my half mary twice with 50 % more climbing. Yikes.

GMM at one time was one of 10 most diffucult marys in US.

Best of luck.

So I still haven't officially registered for this bad boy...  But I keep telling myself that it'll be a great training run for my 50K in the Santa Monica mountains at the end of August.  MUST... JUST.. SIGN... UP... (once the money is down, I know I'll be there at the start line)...!

I'm running the Bear 5 Miler and that looks like enough climbing for me.

Nope...  Kinda scary...  But I'm doing Bulldog 50K on August 25th which is even scarier, so I'm thinking that GMM will be a good "training run" for me...

AMcNeice

I thought about that one...I'd like to try the 26.2 but I just don't have the miles in..... unless I do it anyway...probably STUPID.

Hey, I'm in Cola all the time...... my mother lives there. Good place except for the heat and the USC kids...LOL.

Good luck in the race.

Hahaha.... the USC kids... f-ing hilarious.  You should think about doing Bulldog--you can do a one loop 25K.... less than a marathon!!!!!  Come on, do it!
