There have been a few studs out over the past couple of weeks, but the water temps here in the Holland/Grand Haven/Muskegon area are now reasonable for OWS training. It was high 50's/low 60's this week, just got back from a nice 2-miler this afternoon. 112 footers with a pretty good current, made for a NICE workout!

Shoot me a PM if you are interested in hooking up for a group swim. Great tune up opportunity for Grand Haven and/or Steelhead!

That's Avalanche break, right there.

I'll deal with the fat guy quaking and twitching at speed with fins doing fly in the next lane for now...Heh. Thanks, though.

Surf's up, but still way too cold! Stony Creek was a balmy 73 degrees this weekend, no waves but plenty of weeds.

I was in Lake michigan on Memorial day. Water felt plenty warm in my wetsuit.
I do most of my lake michigan swimming at sleeping bear dunes since my dad has a cabin up there.

I work in Benton Harbor and plan to get out to Lake Michigan soon.  Silver Beach in St. Joseph has a nice long bouy line.

If you go to St. Joe on a weekend let me know. If the timing worked out I would be willing to do a swim with you. I live in Dowagiac so only a 1/2 hour drive. Let me know.

I have been in the water a few times in St Joe/Lakeshore already. The water temp is great.
