Checked in and picked up my timing chip.

Event warmup:

Comments:

Started in the back and ended up getting jammed up at the start behind the quantity of runners and the slower folks. Tried to make up time and ended up in zone3(164-172) for most of the race. Wasn't ready for 6 miles at this effort, especially after my extreme "taper". The run Friday evening wasn't enough to get back into my rythym.

What would you do differently?:

Start further up front. Find a way to not take wallet, phone and keys along on such a short run. 30k will be different because i'll have a camelback.

Walked back to the car.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Narrowness of the trail and number of participants. Once again, the humidity bothered me. Have to remember that wooded areas are going to be much more humid than the streets.
