Comments: GOOD SWIM. WATER TEMP WAS SO MUCH BETTER THAN LAST YEAR. WORE BOOTIES BUT DIDN'T REALLY NEED THEM. KEPT A GOOD LINE. BREATHING WAS GOOD. STARTED AGRESSIVE AT FRONT. GOT HIT A FEW TIMES BUT DIDN'T LET IT BOTHER ME. COULD HAVE WENT A LITTLE FASTER BUT OVERALL VERY SATISFIED WITH IT. FELT EASY What would you do differently?: A LITTLE BIT MORE INSIDE. KEPT WITH THE PLAN OF 10 STROKE/SIGHT. BREATHE MORE ON LEFT SIDE TOWARDS BUOY.NOT WEAR BOOTIES. Transition 1
Comments: TRANSITION IS NEVER THAT FAST FOR ME. WAS OK. FAMILY CAME UP TO ME OUTSIDE OF TRANSITION AREA AND KIDS WE'RE YELLLING TO ME FOR ATTENTION AND KIND OF GOT DISTRACTED. LOVE THEM TO DEATH BUT AT TRANSITION NEED ALL THE CONCENTRATION . FORGOT MY GELS( WAS BY SHOES). BETTER THAN LAST YEAR BUT CAN IMPROVE THERE BY AT LEAST 1 MIN What would you do differently?: ASKED MY KIDS TO WAVE ME ON BUT STAY BACK A BIT. HAVE GEL ALREADY ON BIKE. PRACTICE TAKING OFF WETSUIT. QUICKER PUTTING ON BIKE SHOES. Bike
Comments: GOOD BIKE OVERALL. NEED TO GET BETTER AT CLIMBING. DIDN'T GO ALL OUT BUT WENT HARDER THAN LAST YEAR. ROAD CONDITION ARE A LITTLE ROUGH FOR 5MILES OR SO. SHOULD HAVE HAD RACE WHEELS. GOT THEM WHY NOT USED THEM. HAPPY WITH MY AVERAGE FOR A HILLY COURSE What would you do differently?: WENT HARDER. HAVE RACE WHEELS. BOOK THAT LAST PART. ( DOWNHILL) NOT FORGET GEL AND DRINK MORE Transition 2
Comments: WAS OK. GOT YELLED AT BECAUSE i DIDN'T DISMOUNT RIGHT AT THE LINE.( BIKE LENGHT OFF) YELLED BACK TO RELAX. SHOES ON OK. GOT GELS IN AND ELECTROLYTES. What would you do differently?: NOT LET VOLUNTEERS DISTRACT ME. HAVE GELS ON BIKE. FASTER TAKING OFF HELMET AND GLOVES Run
Comments: DID OK. FELT GOOD. WINDED BUT LEGS FELT FINE. RUNNING NOT MY STRONG SUIT SO I'M OK WITH THE AVERAGE. THE ONLY AREA I DIDN'T IMPROVE FROM LAST YEAR. FELT HOT TOO. What would you do differently?: KEEP A BETTER CADENCE. HAVE WATER TO COOL OFF AT WATER STATIONS. NOT WORRY SO MUCH ABOUT TIME Post race
Warm down: MET WITH FAMILY. HAD SOME WATER AND RECOVERY DRINK. WAITED FOR RESULTS. MET UP WITH MY IMLP TEAM. THEY DID GREAT. GOOD TO CHEER FOR OTHERS. What limited your ability to perform faster: HEAT, LACK OF HYDRATION. NOT WELL RESTED FOR IT. Event comments: GOOD RACE. BIKE COURSE IS NICE SOME ROUGHT SPOTS THOUGH. RUN IS VERY NICE NEAR LAKE.
