So, I as so out of breath from hte bike, and I almost forgot to take off my socks! I think my transition time was fast sicne i had to only take oof my race belt and shoes and run with goggles. I am geussing only 1 minute, but they added it to the bike split. I hadn't swam in a lake before, and i decided the ocean is much easier. There is no current at all and no bouyency. I did the best I could and had to do breaststroke for a few minutes to catch my breath. I never have that problem in a regular tri. I also realized that half way thru the swim, my timeming chip fell off my ankle :( I battled with the thought of giving up and just slowing down, but then I thought I had come this far and it would count in my mind even if they did to record my time. Luckily there was a woman with a PDA at the finish line, so as I ran in, I yelled that I didn't have my chip adn she recorded my time and # in her PDA..so, I was counted :) YAY!

Easy tranisition to just take off my race belt and throw on my biking showes and helmet. transitions are the easy thing about reverse tris!

Wow, it's amazing what a run will do to your biking. I actually ahd a much better bike than i ahve in any other race. This time includes the T1 and T2... I am guessing my time was 3-4 minutes faster. But, on the first loop, I was sucking wind so bad I thought I would puke. But, drank some water, procedded to drop my water bottle and oh well...hopefully everyone avoided it. I finalyl caught my breath on the second lap. I am really happy that my training is starting to show

Nice race.

How much did a lost timing chip cost you?

Isn't it fun  to see the improvement from race to race?  Great job and great perseverance on the swim....that is what i love  to read about in the race reports  -the things that really inspire and pull you through to the finish - the overcoming!!!!

Great job.
