I don't have any races until the end of September, and need a goal to stay motivated and well-rounded over the next month or two. Also need some folks to make sure I am staying on task. There must be others around here like me.
So I came up with, and I highly doubt it is original, the IM challenge. Not all of us can pull off an IM in 1 day, but surely over the course of a month or two, we can.
Kind of a two-pronged challenge...
1) How many IMs can you do from July through August?
For example, if I think I can swim 7.2 miles, bike 336, and run 52.4 in those 2 months, I'd be down for 2. Fractional equivalents welcomed. But hey, this is a CHALLENGE, so maybe you want to round up?
2) What is the shortest time span you think you can do the distance in?
Maybe I think I can fit in the equivalent of an IM over 10 days.

I just found this challenge and would love to get in on it. I have found that challenges are really helping me out. So count me in for 4 IM's. That is for right now, I may want to force myself into 4.5 or even 5. With work and my five thousand other comitments I have a hard time finding time. I'm looking forward to this big time. We have a long weekend so I'll be off to a rip-roaring start!!
