I'm trying to figure out whether to drop the moola on Bodyglide or to just grab my can of Pam. What do you think is best? Why? And are there other options out there I don't know of.

Kim:

I go for body glide, because I also need it for running to lubricate those spots that chafe during long runs.

I opted for the Body Glide, as I didn't want to smell buttery during the race.  I'll let you try mine on Sunday, if you'd like.

Bodyglide on heels to slip into shoes (I do not wear socks).

Cooking spray on the lower legs and arms (I have a fullsuit) are just the ticket for sliding off the wetsuit.

At my last tri, I saw a lot of people spraying the inside of their suits with Pam as well as spraying themselves. Would you rub bodyglide on the inside of your suit too? Or just on the skin?

OK, I've been fighting with the new wetsuit for several nights now.  My previous best mock-T1 time was 5:30 minutes.  ARGH!  So today, I broke down and bought a can of Pam.  I'm a believer now!  Sprayed my lower legs, put on the wetsuit, and darned if I didn't peel it off in 1:02!  I'll use 3/4 of a can tomorrow, maybe I can have a 1:30 T1 time!

I'm a Pam girl all the way - apply liberally to body and suit and you slide out of the wetsuit!

Here are two other links to previous discussions of the Pam vr bodyglide preferences.

I have done several triathlons and have seen people using different lubes for their wetsuits(mostly on outside of suit), I have just bought an exterra vortex and have tried it several times and don't seem to have any difficuty getting it off with the exception of it hanging at the heels, then I hook my thumb inside and pull it over my heel; The wetsuit is very tight but I can do this really quickly. My questions are this
Does the problem of stripping wetsuit increase with time;ie somekind of finish wearing off?
Are the exterior lube for exit or to decrease drag in water?
Does the problem of strippng vary from wetsuit brand to brand?

I doing a tri oct 2 and don't want to discover something I should of known on race day
