"good gravy marie!"

(its a child-friendly expletive coined by my aunt grace and i adopted it after my daughter grew old enough to repeat things i said - there was that time when she heard me call someone an a$$hole under my breath and then started waving to him 'bye-bye a$$hole!' ahhh, kids)

"Train the house down"

I'm not quite sure that is even makes sense, but I like it anyway. I was watching an ITU race of OLN (back in the day) when a British pro used it.

The president of our company always asks me at work "having fun yet"

I answer him with my catch phrase "I've had fun before but it wasn't here!"

"fer f&&ks sake!" - best said with a dose of irony and/or irish accent

"of course you did"- usually when my future husband starts something off with, "I was looking at < insert computer website here >" or when we're discussing things that are stereotypically "us".

"as you do"...usually following something that's completely ridiculous...example: "so I was sitting there in my blood soaked bear suit, as you do, when out of nowhere...."

i thought of two more.

let's boogie, yo. (when its time to go)

and if you're grandmother had wheels, she'd be a streetcar (when someone says something that makes no sense)

  • Disappointed: "That bites the big wienie!"
  • Cheesed off:  "Ah, mange d'la merde, maudit nieiseux!"  (Ah, eat sh*t, damned goofball!

To name but a few:

"bugger me!" - mild exasperation
"oh, for f$%ks sake!" - tad annoyed
"... so to speak" - usually after a comment that has some double meaning
".... stands out like an erection in a dry suit!" - self explanatory
"fantastic" - used for all manner of things depending on inflection ..... most often sarcastic

"Don't make it weird" usually said into dead silence after saying something that makes it weird.

to me, they're stupid for going public with why they wanted to get the donkeys in the first place... setting themselves up, kinda, wouldn't you say?
