we've got bike fever at our house. just got a new road bike myself. my husband has been lusting after a few road bikes himself. he finally decided on a rivendell redwood (http://www.rivendellbicycles.com). the company has a pretty traditionalist esthetic, so the redwood doesn't look like anything close to a racing bike, but its built to last forever. anyway, he's as happy as a little girl (or boy). this is his first new bike (besides 'new to him' beaters for commuting) since his bridgestone mb-4.

ps. he already has a honey colored brooks saddle broken in to pop onto the redwood. should look mighty purdy and plenty old school.

My butt cheeks tightened up a bit when I saw the picture.  I'm sure this is stating the obvious, but he will find a dramatic increase in riding comfort if he installs a seat before the next ride.
