Hey Dave, was that you this morning that also saw the Loch Nokomis monster? ...(I'll change my blog if you were leaving because your workout was done )...I need witnesses to get my man card back .  Good luck tomorrow...

I was there around 6:30 but I only did 250 yards and then I went for a quick jog. I noticed some other swimmers standing near the eastern most buoy when I was swimming but I think I was the only one swimming at the time or there may have been one other woman swimming. It is funny that you mention it though because I set my stuff up near the snack shack on the western end of the beach and when I was getting out of the water I did see a huge shadow in the water that I figured was some kind of big fish. I hope it isn't Asian Carp. http://www.citypages.com/databank/23/1132/article10627.asp

Probaby just a muskie full from chewing on a baby duck or careless swimmer finger.

So where are all the race reports?? Very curious to hear if the wind was a factor. I went for a ride this a.m., and it was pretty much steady at 15-18 mph, which can definately impact a race.

Curious to hear how it was for you all.

just finished my race report. BitterSweet. Bitter because I expected more out of myself. Sweet because I completed my first Oly.

I am coming back next year to kill my time. I have 7 weeks until the LA version. I am going to get a PR. That is that.

THE WIND WAS HORRIBLE!!! I have a lot of surface area, so I might have felt in more than others.

Just finished my race report.  I started at 7:46:xx and didn't notice wind too much on bike.  I have a lot less surface area than Hundo at a little 5-8 153, so maybe that was part of it.  Bike had lot's of turns and gentle elevation changes unlike most of my tris and rides on rural county roads so wind was not a constant.

Definitely noticed wind on run and lake surface was choppy compared to when I swam.

Did the oly on Saturday and it went very well! I don't know what everyone else thought, but the conditions were some of the best I've had for a tri. Wow was the lake calm and there was little wind and humidity all morning! I hope that everyone enjoyed the day and had a great race/ I only wish that I could swim as smooth and fast as the pros

I just did my first race report for my first race. What an experience. Thanks to everybody on the board for your tips. Thanks to the people at the information booth for holding on to my glasses until my wife got there to pick them up after I was already in the water.

Since Kelly doesn't respond much here I'll respond for her.  She mentioned she saw you right away when she got back from her volunteer duties.  Says you looked ready to go and happy to start when she saw you.  Nice job by the way, Looks like you did pretty good in your division.  As far as T2 goes, she said a lot of the people coming in were having some problems there.
