Subject: Bike Rental in Atlanta area?

I've completed one sprint tri and have two more scheduled for this summer.  I'm starting to get the itch to step up to an Oly.  The problem is that I'm not quiet ready to spend the money to buy a new bike, so until next spring I've got nothing but my mtn. bike.  I don't mind doing sprints on the mtn. bike but I would want a road or tri bike for an oly.

Is there anyplace in the metro Atlanta area that has road bikes available to rent?

Before I bought a road bike, I rented one for half a day from the Silver Comet Depot -- it's at the Floyd Rd. trailhead on the Silver Comet trail. The bike was a well-maintained, pretty up-to-date Specialized which was fun to ride (it had the most basic Shimano components). You may want to check them out.

The one caveat is that I'm sure they expect you to rent and then ride on the Silver Comet, not take it away. If you're looking for an inexpensive bike check atlantacraigslist.com. There's always bikes on there and if you're patient you could probably find a decent bike at a fraction of the price. I've seen some good ones on there but they never seem to be posted when I'm in the market to buy. Good luck!
