GREENFIELD - Two bicyclists were brought to Franklin Medical Center last night after being struck by a car while peddling down Leyden Road.
Police Sgt. Ralph D. Odom said the men were hit by a 1997 Ford driven by Shirley Webb of Greenfield, at about 7:30 p.m.
Odom said the men were headed south on Leyden Road, and Webb was traveling north.
Injured were Thomas Graney of Deerfield and Michael Szteliga of Turners Falls. Both were brought by ambulance to Franklin Medical Center, Odom said.
Webb has not been charged, but the accident remains under investigation, and charges may be forthcoming, Odom said.
Graney and Szteliga were traveling with other cyclists on a route that is a favorite among cyclists, Odom said.
Leyden Road runs north to south through town, running parallel to the Green River.
Odom said Leyden Road is hilly, and is often used as a training ground for competitive cyclists.
There were no other injuries.
Odom said patrolman Richard Logan is investigating the accident.
