Subject: Whats the deal with active.com?

I just went to the active.com website to try and register for some races and I get this active.com beta site.  Has anyone else seen this?  So I start tooling around this new active.com and I put in my zip code to try and find the triathlons in the atlanta area and it just brings up 2 triathlons that are like very close to my area (I am already signed up for those).  How do I find the other ones without having to search through the entire world's listing for triathlons?

I noticed they have changed their website. Don't have any info other than that.

You can also use BT's race report search to find many races in your state.

I just registered for The Nations Triathlon via Active and had no problems.  But I got there through a registration link at the race's website.  Seemed like the usual Active.com website.  Went back to Active and qued in zip 30269 (Peachtree City) and got 85 results for all activities, but only 2 triathlons.  Maybe that is all there is within the zip code search radius.  Can't seem to find the way to expand that search radius though.

I guess that is why it is a "beta" version.

AHHH! They changed the site? Looks like you can still type in "Georgia" and get a list of all the tris in Georgia - the link Mindy included. I wish I could search by zones, though. Hitting the whole southeast would be nice.

And if you type in just Atlanta under tri it brings up a golf, bowling and pool tournament. I guess that's three sports.

Yeah, I think the new site SUCKS.   Funny when companies spend lots of money to "improve" their product and make it worse.

You can tri www.trifind.com to find races.  It is usually fairly complete.

I just tried it and it seems fine. just select triathlon on the left and enter your zip code on the lower right and it will load all the races near you...

Thanks!  I was trying to figure out how to expand my search area and couldn't find it.  I didn't realize that you could just type in Georgia and get the whole state.  I am sure once we get used to the new site it will serve us better.

That counts as a triathlon?  Wow.  I've been going about my training all wrong.
