What a surprise! I actually lost weight. I've felt like I have lost nothing all week and then I weighed in this morning and voila...weight loss. Crazy considering I didn't stick to my usual mini-meal schedule and as clean of a diet as I've been trying to stick to.

I was in the mountains outside Vail this week and didn't get much exercise in...some old lady had a loss of control issue in the hotel's lap pool so it was closed for a couple days and then I was NOT going in it after that. So my exercise consisted of mainly high-altitude hiking and wheezing.

Challenge Start: 234
Last Week: 227
This week: 225 (-2 lbs)
Total Lost: 9 pounds and someone on my trip asked if I'd lost any weight...nice having folks notice
Beers Consumed Since Challenge Start: 3 over 3 nights (Is it possible to turn down a microbrewed IPA?
Glasses Wine Consumed Since Challenge Start: 4 red in one night...good for the heart and the taste buds

Good luck next week y'all...Pete

Good story Blizzard - that would have scared the heck out of me. My scary running/biking stories around here in the city always involve people!

Here are the results of week 3.  Kudos to everyone, as we have corporately lost exactly 100 pounds!

I've sorted once again by % of goal achieved.  Congrats to Blizzard, IMCDA, and Kujhawk for leading the pack here.  There are many more people right on their heels... in fact 9 people are ahead in the challenge (have lost a greater % of their goal weight than the % of their goal time that has elapsed).

Another noteworthy performance... Swimmergirl has also lost over 4% of her starting body weight in 3 weeks - most impressed.

On the negative side - we had (by far) record lows for weigh in this week.  Let me challenge everyone to pick a handful of teammates and send them an inspire in their logs.  In fact, if you simply did 3 inspires a day... you would make it through the entire team every two weeks.  Pssst - it would also make it hard for people to forget to weigh in.

Please verify your data is correct - I sorted once and messed something up, but I think I got everything repopulated correctly by going back to the week 2 spreadsheet.

When will I ever learn that I can't just shove whatever I want down my pie hole just because I had a big workout? Then I wonder why the weight is not coming down!! Stupid me!!

Hope everyone had a great weekend.

We will be 1/3 of the way through our challenge at the end of this week...keep your goals in mind and continue to use your logs! I find that my logs create a certain amount of accountability, not sure about anyone else but I can't stand to see my monthly squares yellow or clear!!!!!

Keep moving and stay positive, if you have a bad day...there's always tomorrow.

I had a buddy that used to say "some days you eat the bear, some days the bear eats you" guess it wasn't your turn!

Hope that experience motivates you to do some speed work!!!

I hear you man... any poor results are totally my fault.  People are in awe of my workout regime... how consistent I am.  But we really can shoot ourselves in the food with just a few moments of no self-control.

I at cake yesterday morning, and ice cream yesterday afternoon.  Cake because someone brought it to work (darn it)... ice cream because I was mad at my boss and needed to get out of there for a minute... but why do I choose icecream instead of a walk around the park?!?!?

Today is a new day!

I am sorry I did not WI on Friday.

My father-in-law passed away very sudden on Tuesday last week so we went to Denmark for the funeral.

I just came back last night and will WI on Friday again with all of you.

Joblin,

I think I speak for everyone that we are sorry for your family's loss!  No need to apologize in the least.  While I can't offer much besides weight loss support, I will keep your family in my thoughts and prayers this week.

No weighin for me last week - I've been on vacation, and just got back last night....but I stepped on the scale this morning & it isn't pretty. I'll keep the details to myself and am hoping some of it is water weight that will disappear before Friday's weigh-in!

Looks like a lot of good work here, though! Keep it up!
