Pre-race routine:

Woke up WAY early, and headed to MARTA. Ate 2 waffles with peanut butter on the way.

Event warmup:

No real warmup except for walking to our coral and a bit of streching.

Comments:

I am very happy with this race! I PR'd and it's about time!! My runs have been slow for a long time so I was happy to see this time on a course that's crowded and not usually PR friendly! My main goal was to run the entire way- I usually have some sort of mental block with the Peachtree. And for some reason I at least walk at cardiac hill. Not today. Just kept going- even if it was slow. I still have a long way to go, but it's nice to see some improvement.

What would you do differently?:

Continue doing speedwork and uping my mileage.

Warm down:

Hung out at the 'T' baloon with BT & NAMC people. Headed to Jocks & Jills for some holiday refreshments!
