Pre-race routine:

ACKKKKK I am late..... freaking traffic is tied up..... move, move, MOVE you &^%$#^ why in the &^%$##^ isn't traffic moving? ARRRRGGGGGG!!!!! what the ^%$$^^ is going on? Finally I got off I-75 the parking lot, and drove back streets to get to the race site. THEN I get some FLIPPING IDIOT that wants to drive.... what 25 MPH in a FREAKING 55 zone, double yellow lineee..... ARRRRRGGGGG move, move, MOVE YOU &^%*%$$$!!!

Finally I get to the site, they are lining up to start the race, THANKFULLY they are running at least 5-8 minutes late. I RUN from the car to the sign up area, toss my cash and membership card, sign the paper and start toward the line. About 100 yards from the line the gun goes off. CRAP! I run another 40 yards and then turn around and head with the crowd that is going the other way. I figure I have already run that 60 yards ANY WAY.
Event warmup:

Oh I was PLENTY HOT before the race even started.... oh... wait they don't mean that way.... Flippiing idiot drivers and construction crews... grrrrrrr!

Comments:

Started out too dang fast. HR was crazy and I was out of it from the beginning. Too much running before the race.

I was pretty happy with the run, pushed and was sort of looking to break 25:00, I might have had I not blown up on the racing around.

I would have rather run a little different race, but it is done now.
What would you do differently?:

Learned to fly a chopper and flown in, rather than driven in. Taken a different exit prior and missed the parking lot.
Post race
Warm down:

Walked and talked. Drank a pop and ate a banana

What limited your ability to perform faster:

10-15 pounds of fat, not running enough

Event comments:

They gave out AG awards this race, I didn't stay around for them.

Good job with all the obstacles!! remember if we show up early your that much late your idea of being on time is to show up any time AFTER you were supposed to be there!

I don't know, all that running around late sounds like a great warm-up.  You're supposed to get your heart rate up before the race starts.

Dang speedy race if you ask me!
