I vote for life. I have lost tons of weight after having each baby, and after the third, I was down to 152, still over the weight limit. I'm 5'9" so that sounds great, but nothing fit right, and people asked me if I was ill. I felt weak. I'm VERY happy around 165-170 ish, which is 25-30 lbs away. I've already come down almost 20 lbs this summer, so I'm almost halfway there. I compete in other sports at AG and I'm almost always last, so BLPPHHHH! I say yay for this class, I can finally be among other fit large people who have lives and commitments outside of training. Carry on Athenas and Clydesales!

The line is fine for me.  150 is about the ideal weigh I want to be.  I'm pretty competitive as an Athena but will be way BOP as an age grouper.  Not sure what to do?

Hey I know exactly what you mean. I am at 158 right now, and I could easily stay here, because I like to eat carbs, or I could work at it and get below it fairly easily. I would love to be below the cut-off in the way I would look and feel, but I don't do well in A/G and 8 lbs isn't going to give me much improvement. Hmmm, what to do? I actually kind of like having a choice.

There should be a third choice for us Yo Yos. I waffle between 190 and 210. When I was strictly Biking I got down to 190 but now that I am swimming and running my muscle mass has pushed me up to 205. I don't know if I am here for life or just below but I will always be kind of a clydesdale, hows that?

well hmm its hard to say but a yo yo would more like by weight since in theory you cna lose weight and go below. I would be dead if I was a non cylesdale.

Well, I guess if I stayed with one sport I would not be a clydesdale but as a triathlete I am.

Let's see, according to my doctor my combination of lean muscle/bone totals up to 190 lbs +6 or so percent body fat...

ok so maybe it's closer to 26% so yeah Clyde for life.

I could be an age grouper but I want to build the muscle mass that would probably keep me at 160- 165. I love being an Athena. Everyone just seems to be down to earth and fun as hell.

So hopefully I will be an Athena for life.

I'd be somewhere in the realm of negative 15% body fat or so for me to be an age grouper. Don't think it's going to happen. My LBM alone is around 225-230.

I've never raced, but by the time I do I won't qualify to be a clydesdale anymore. I'm 207.6 with plenty to lose.

I say all this while eating a candybar though, so we'll see next spring.

Well, I know I said I was going to be a clyde for life - that part hasn't changed BUT, there is no harm losing some weight along the way!

Recently, I have gotten some positive feedback. I have gotten a couple comments from people who saw my wedding pics that were not at the event write and say that I look "fit and trim". It's good to know that the work is paying off!

I'm probably a clyde for life unless I want to loose some muscle.

I was a clyde in highschool, lost a bunch of weight due to an new medication and weighed in the upper 190's when I started college. I was skinny in pictures of myself from then, lanky even. I probably have 10-15 pounds more muscle now then I did then so I don't see myself getting that low. I'd like to do it, but I doubt I could sustain it. I'd like to get to and sustain 210.

I'm 5'10", female, and I don't think I'd ever be able to make less than 150. I think I'd look pretty scary at that weight!
