Just got back from a swim..Windy..some chop on the way out...but the water is WARM. Got a little toasty in  my sleeveless at the first turn.  Sorry i missed you all. Is anyone trying to save a table tonight?  The only face i know is Birkierunner.

I did one loop at 7am this morning. Big white caps and getting out to the turn around was 5 mins slower than coming back. Looks like the lake is back to normal now...

I saw Jeremy (jtopin) while walking around and we decided to meet at the Infinit booth outside around 4:50 before getting in line for the banquet.  Hope to see some BT'ers there.

I believe I should get there by then.  I spoke with Infinit1 and Infinit2 at that booth this morning.  I have the stash of Jolly Ranchers for the Donks.

I did a lunch hour run past the terrace. Pretty quiet in the swim area. I saw a couple of folks out there. The expo area was bumping, though. Lots of eye candy.

Just got back from a 43 minute run along the lakeshore.  As I was about to reach Monona Terrace on the return there was Heather Fuhr and Paula N-F heading towards me running on the path.  That's twice in 2 days.  They want me....they're stalking me.

So I decide to swim the Ironman course today, just to say I did it. I figured I'd just do 1 loop, and it'd be a good chance to work on sighting and such. Well, I'm swimming along and it seems like I'm traveling pretty quickly and I get to the big triangular buoy. I look up and the sun is in my eyes and I don't see any more buoys and I look across and sure enough, there's one over there. So, I turn and head for that one. I swim along thinking "dang, this is a gorgeous day and perfect conditions and what a lovely swim this is." I get to the end of the course and look at my time and realize that I couldn't possibly have swum the whole thing. Doh! Nope - they don't just use the big triangular buoys for the corners. Ugh. Oh well - don't be a dork like me tomorrow folks. Look for the big FORD buoys. Those really are at the ends of the course. *sigh*

BT IMoo Nation,

Good Luck to All!!!!  It is going to be a spectacular day tomorrow!!!!

I'll echo what atl_runner, PeterAK, and jtopin said; especially about all the volunteers and supporters - you make this (well tomorrow) day the special day it is to everyone on the race course.

Sorry I wasn't able to meet up/find the BT contingent at the banquet or any of the swims -- I keep kinda weird hours, etc.

Is there a plan to meet up Monday at the awards banquet?  If so, I am definitely in!!!

- Tim

I just have to give a quick report.
Well, BT'ers and fellow Turbo Donks and BirkieRunner (sorry to hear of the issue that you had), it was the MOST F'in' AWESOME time that anyone could EVER experience!!!!
The weather was beautiful (that sunrise was a wonderful site over the lake), the participants were tremendous, the crowd/spectators were UNREAL, the volunteers were PHENOMENAL, and the race was EXTREMELY challenging (you can not believe the "rolling" hills.
I know I didn't do as well as I wanted to, but it was better that I backed it off a bit and finished strong.  I kept telling myself many times throughout the race that one really needed to respect the distance and what it was going to take.
A SHOUTOUT to those crazy and fun Turbo Donks that participated, thank you for the fun.  YOU ARE IRONMEN!!!
To all the BT'ers that showed up and were there helping out volunteering or providing support and spirit - YOU PEOPLE RAWK!!!!  Allow me to personally thank those (that I remember) that I met:
1). tupuppy - did you have the "calf off"?
2). Travis - thanks for being there at the end and introducing yourself.  A happy, smiley face at the end of all that made my night.
3). mutri - thanks for volunteering at the finish, too (especially after doing the 1/2 tri you were in the day before - too cool!).  Your big smile and enthusiasm were contagious and were much appreciated.  I saw you in line registering and wish you the best of luck for IM Moo 2008!  YOU WILL BE AN IRONMAN!!
4). Deanna - I believe that was you at Library Mall.  Thanks for volunteering.
5). A VERY SPECIAL "YOU DA' GIRL" to TRIXIE:  You are freakin' awesome (infinite exclamation marks).  You are the queen of inspirations and your energy at 5:00 a.m. is contagious - and not only that, YOU are the best azz marker, bar none (I showed my wife afterwards, but still trying to figure out her reaction)!!!!  I don't think that I'll ever wash my left cheek.

I just checked out my inspirations today and want to say THANK YOU to those that provided me a message.

Hopefully, I will provide a race report in the next day or two.  BTW - I completed IM Moo in 15:13:46
I will say that I was quite humbled getting my kicked by a 78 year old man in the swim.  If you want inspiration, Frank Farrar is your man, and so is the guy who had one leg (I'll try and remember who he was) that kicked my azz (now that didn't sound right).

Cheers.
