Subject: Bento Box
I needed a way to carry gel flasks, gel packs, and power bars on my bike for long rides, so I picked up a bento box at Tri-speed (our local swim bike run shop and sponsor of nearly every local race around).

The box is designed to sit on the top tube right behind the stem. 2 velcro straps go around the stem, 2 on the top tube. The box is narrow - maybe 1 inch across. It is about as long as a powerbar, thus 2 power bars fit in side-by-side just right. The box is tall enough to also fit several gel packs on top of the power bars, or a single gel flask. It has a mesh top that closes with a velcro closure to keep items from bouncing out.

This thing does what it says, no real gimick here. Only problem I have is that the end of the bento box that is not snug up against the stem tends to slide over to one side or the other, even if the velcro straps are tight on the top tube. So the thing leans to one side, and can get in the way. When out of the saddle on a particularly steep climb, your knee might hit the bento box, somewhat annoying but not a deal breaker.

Overall grade for the product: B+
