We went to an all-inclusive in the Dominican Republic.  We got 7 days including Air Fare from Philly for (if I remember correctly) $1800 TOTAL!  We didn't pay a dime from the time we left Philly until we got back.  (except for the souveniers we bought)

Go to www.skyauctions.com  They are awesome.  They list tons of the all-inclusives there.

Actually I think Hedonism is in Jamaica, at least some where in the Caribbean.

Congrats!

Turks & Caicos is beautiful and small island, less than an hour flight out of Miami. Gorgeous. Try this one.

Oops. You wanted couples only. There's a kid-free Club Med but I think it would be kinda' cheesy for a honeymoon. Pretty, though! And fun.

My vote is for the Sandals Grande in St. Lucia. I would say 95% of the couples there were on their honeymoon. It is the nicest of the Sandals resorts on St. Lucia plus you have access to the other 2 Sandals resorts for dinner and such.

Sandals, Negril, Jamaica.  Fantastic.  Long bus ride from the airport but grap a couple red stripes outside the airport and bring em on the bus.  It's worth the trip.

And if you're interested in Hedonism, this is where its at.  Sandals borders Hedonism.  There's a gate to walk through between the resorts and they have a free exchange policy so you can stroll over and party at Hedonism if you want to, then go back to Sandals.

Everyone else there were newlywed couples too and you can pretty much make it what you want.  Active, laid back, party, chill, whatever.  You'll love it.  We met some people we had a great time with.

From your experience, does that gate swing both ways?

cbost2678 - 2007-07-26 11:21 PM Couples Negril it was very nice!

that's where i am going on my honeymoon this Oct.  I can't wait... the place gets rave reviews, it also was just voted in the top 10 best beaches in the world.  Couples.com.  I would suggest using a travel agent.  They have 4 resorts, i am going to Couple Swept Away.

Ok, we went to Maui for our honeymoon. Had a great time. BUT,

On our 7th anniversary, we went to Jamaica to the couples only, all inclusive Sandals Ochos Rios resort and had the absolute best time of our lives. Would go back in a heartbeat to that resort or any of the other Sandals resorts in Jamaica. (there is a new one I'd like to try called Sandals White House, I think).

I highly recommend them, and we had one of the cheaper, garden rooms. I wouldn't have traded it for an ocean view for anything, because it was so much more private and quiet where we were.

Anyhoo, that's my $.02, you can't go wrong with Sandals. (just do not book an early morning flight out of jamaica if the resort is a good drive away. Our flight left at 9 am and the resort had the shuttle picking us up at 4 AM!!!!
