I have heard that it is one of the hardest races that you will ever do. They talk about it all the time on ST.

I was thinking about it too since it's local. But I'm doing my first marathon on 10/28. Then I thot about it next year but in a moment of weakness opted for Ironman Lake Placid. So I guess it's 2009 for me. From what I understand having an IM under my belt should help. Some have said AZ is harder.

So, IronMatt, I guess you are ready!

Just did a Dirty F1 Duathlon in the New Paltz area today, it consisted of a 1.5 trail run/5 mile Mt.Bike/1.5 trail Run/5 mile Mt. Bike/1.5 trail run. It was the most difficult Mt. Bike Duathlon I ever did. The race director apologized for the course being so hard. After todays race, will never do this one again, just too difficult with the mountain climbs on the run and bike.
