How many calories burned in a HIM?

approx 300 to 400 calories per  hour depending on weight so about 1800 to 2400 calories

Try this calculator, according to it, I burned 4760. Just add your weight in the blue area and it will calculate the number of calories needed per hour. At 160lbs. I need around 335 per hour.

According to my HRM I burned 5802 calories in 7 hours at Steelhead. I'm 135lbs.

That's pretty low...I would guess a 6hr 1/2 would be in the 4500 range.

My HRM, not the most accurate source, showed 4,998 calories for my 6hr 16min race.

That is how many cals you can absorb in 1 hour.

I burned about 3,800 calories in my HIM. I based my nutrition plan on 1.1g x 75 kg x 5 hours, so I put in about 400 gr (1,600 cal) of carbs. Anything short of that and I would have been trouble.
