I only have one decent one coming up ...Third Bellingham Bay Marathon. (did the first two ) so I have to keep that streak going. I broke my 2 biggest streaks this year :-( I really regret it as it's neat to have a really long streak in a race, especially a race as great as the Columbia tri. Columbia Tri: 2004 - 2008 (5 years) - i'll be back in 2010 though!!! Tri to Win Sprint Tri: 2004-2009 (5 years) - again, i'll be back in 2010! Chesapeake Bay 4.4 mile swim 2004 - 2006 (3 years), came back again in 2009 Edited to add: geez, just realized how old this thread actually is. Some updates are probably needed. Last year it was turned into a Du because of unsafe water and this year turned into a Du/ DNF for me as I got a flat and lost my battle with my CO2 cartridges on the bike. (went out and did run anyway) |

| Subject: RE: What is your Race Streak? Haven't been at this long enough for long streaks, though I have a couple of races that I've now repeated. Will probably do at least one or two of them again this year/next year. I've run the Cherry Blossom 10-Miler twice in a row, and took a little over 10 minutes off of my previous time this spring, which sounds impressive, but not when your first attempt was at a 10:30/mile pace. Next year's tentative goal is to take another 10 minutes off (so somewhere around a 8:30 pace)- a bit more challenging |
