Pre-race routine:

Only a mile and a half from my house. Rode my bike there.
Event warmup:

Some easy jogging with a few pickups. Probably about 15-20 minutes total.

Comments:

How often do you finish 14th overall, and 5th in your AG? And the 4 who beat me were 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th! A bunch of very good local 45-49 speedsters were in attendance at this race. All in all a pretty solid effort, though I really had to gut it out at the end. Stayed within 40 seconds of my friend and sometime training partner Tommy (a young pup at 37).

Course: Out and back with a big hill at the end of the out. After coming back down, you climb gradually (for the most part) back to the finish. A pretty tough course for a fast run.
