I am terrible for knowing the right lyrics...I listen to the music more than the words.

My most famous one was Chumbawumba's Tubthumping:

Another for CCR, the song:  Looking Out My Back Door,  The lyrics: “take a ride on the flying spoon” was thought to be “take a ride on the lion soon” a do do do

I know someone who thought that Bon Jovi sang:
