Pre-race routine:

Ate some Chinese food, worked in the garden, drove to the start point. I didn't sleep too sell last night because of storms and a dying smoke detector.

Event warmup:

My computer sensor is officially dead. It quit completely today. I took the bike for a short spin down and up the hill. We lined up and were ready to go.

Comments:

Since I had no idea about my speed, I'm sure I could have pushed harder. Of course everyone passed me pretty quickly, but since I started second, I was able to keep a person in sight most of the way.

What would you do differently?:

In all, it was an OK ride. Not fab, but OK. I could have gone harder.

Warm down:

Rode around the parking lot a bit. Then chatted while Jeremy warmed down.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

No computer. I also didn't have my head in the right place to really push. It's hard to TT with people so much faster. After they all passed me, I think I slowed down. Nothing to chase.
