I'm in!  Any idea about packet pickup?  I looked over the website and can't find it, but I know I've seen it somewhere.

Semi-hijack.

Does anyone think it would be suicide to do this race the day after the Hotter 'N' Hell Hundred? I haven't done a tri in a while and would like to do one but don't know how good of an idea this would be.

DO IT! If I did not have to work on the 25th, I would be doing it.

EVER!?! Or just for the season?

I'm not sure. I'm really apathetic towards training these days. Not burned out, I don't look at training with disdain; I just don't care. I'm 99% sure I don't want to put in the training necessary to complete an oly, and getting up 2 hours before the crack of dawn to do a sprint doesn't exactly thrill me. It really is an overwhelming sense of apathy about the whole thing. I'm not sure how to fix this, or if it even should be fixed for that matter. At this point I'm doing the workouts because it's better than sitting in the gym & lifting weights for an hour, but I'm not inspired in the least to do more than the minimum 3x/week workouts these days.

Well I for one want to see you keep racing so we can read your race reports.

Or make yourself availble as contract labor to write others' race reports.

I'm glad to see I fill an important niche in the community. :p

I went through the same funk at the end of last season too.  Keep racing, don't keep racing.  Either way, KEEP MOVING!

I would guess this is a fairly common thought as the season end is nearing.  I bet come early spring you feel better and want to keep racing.

Hee-hee... well, he is my jockstrap at times!

Well, I have to train on Sunday, and since Jonny is racing I would have to be out there... and it was going to be challenge to try to train after supporting him at the race... so I'm just going to race.

I hate pool swims, but I can handle the suffer-fest. HA!

And since I'll actually put down a more accurate swim time... I will probably be near the top 20 entering the water.. less hassle that way.

My goals for this race: FAST TRANSITIONS! 3:00 minute transitions on a sprint/oly distance are not acceptable.

Yea, my plan is to go all out 100% the whole race and just see how I feel. Maybe I'll bonk and DNF, but f*ck it. It's worth it just to say that I burned through in top gear the whole time.

Oh and Craig, if I catch you, you owe me a piggy back ride across the finish.

Well after your comment about my "ManCrush" Kirk Ferentz, I will wait up for you on the bike and then take you out with my new Ben Hur inspired race wheels.

Are those wheels carbon fiber? Because I'm sure you could make some very aerodynamic blades.

Yep, it sure is!

I woke up in the middle of the night and started to think, "The race is in 3 days... I need to remember to pick up my race packet!".
