No, but I think the ride in the rain this past weekend helped to keep them clean.  They're still air-drying.

Maybe take out the lining or foot pad and hand wash it.

But I have had most every bodily fluid (except #2) on mine and never washed them.

Now that I write it out it is pretty gross...but I'm ok with it.

But Rich, the smell. Bad. And so do my running shoes. They're making my closet and transition bag smell; they *need* to be washed.

For just normal sweating I use Dr Scholls odor destroying foot powder (that is the brand name).  Works very well.  better than washing the shoes which always seems to mess the shoes up or make them smell a different kind of weird.

The only thing about the powder is it has a kind of hippie almost patcholie scent that I can't put my finger on.  But it doesn't bother me.

I just rinse them off after each workout with water. That usually does the trick but I am not sure how long that will last.

Specialized bike shoes.  Limar helmut pads.  Asic, Brooks and (new) Nike running shoes.

Washer.  Detergent.  Air dry.

I could not exist peacefully in my own home if these items were not washed.

And this advice comes directly from Emil DeSoto.  He put this thread up about a year ago.

I hose mine down from time to time with water. Keeps the smell in the hallway ... tolerable for the rest of the family
