Anybody have any idea when official results might show up on-line???

I'm dying to find out! Great race,except for headwind. Was third out of water for 40-44,passed one ag guy on run,so I'm hoping for at least 2nd or 3rd for ag?

Anybody find out results yet from any other source- they're still not up on the website? Surprised it's taking this long..

Does anybody else think that the course might have raced a little shorter than posted?

I know it was flat and fast, and as much as I would like to believe that I had PR's in each segment, I think the course might have been a little shorter that we think.

My GPS had about 23 mi for the bike and just short of 5.9 for the run, though it's not always 100% dependable.. hopefully they were off and I've actually improved that much!

I was gonna post the same question... my computer also showed the bike course at right around 23 miles, and my run time was also slightly faster than I anticipated, leading me to think the run course may have been a bit short, too.

Still pleased with my results - 8/24 in my AG!!

Yep my bike computer showed just under 23 miles. I trained expecting a 20mph average on the bike but if the course was actually 40K I would have ridden at 22mph average. My bike computer showed an average of 20.8mph. On the run I was cramped badly and hobbled the first three miles or so. I ran fast there at the end but I didn't feel like I was running fast enough to average what they say my average was. Oh well - it was still fun. No harm in a little padding

Sadly, yes, I agree that the course must have been short, considering my pretty amazing PR as well. But when you google it, it is the right distance. So, we must have all found pretty good short-cuts on the corners etc!

Regardless, it was a FANTASTIC race, and and unbelievably awesome day!!!

I agree, the venue and weather were amazing. I cant imagine the amount of red tape to wade through to pull the event off. I enjoyed the race tremendously and am planning on racing again next year.

I think the course was short because when the original transition was announced it was on K St under whitehurst freeway. If you take the distance to and from there to the transition, it makes up the difference all our computers show. The bike course was not changed after the transition move.

I am thinking of registering for next year. Is this race worth traveling from Florida? On their web site they make it sound like it will sell out fast?

I signed up this morning as soon as registration for USAT members opened.

I would reccomend this race to anyone. It is an amazing venue and I thought that this year's event was very well organized. There were a few areas that they were going to work on, but they seemed genuinely interested in making future events better and solicited comments and even responded to them. The race director personally responds to emails in a very timely fashion.

If I were looking for a destination race I would definately consider this one. You can make it a great site seeing/triathlon weekend!

Great race,third year in operation, one loop for bike,no problems with swim, city is actually looking to do a HIM in 09,sign up, come hang with us

It was very well done considering all that goes into putting on an event in the district. I signed up two days early using the DC Tri Club Membership. I would recommend the race. Last I checked, it is already 25% full on the first day of registration. I wouldn't take my chances missing this one. Swimming in the Potomac on the Georgetown waterfront was pretty cool too!

It was  a great race and I'm in again this year.

I just signed up. Looking forward to meeting some local racers.

awesome, really enjoy this race,great sights,fun swim that is improved once again.Bike will be great,one long loop,lots of fresh pavement,some rolling hills, overall some great speed.The run will be cool,finish on 7 Th St NW. Only race I can actually ride my bike to and not have to worry about getting up early for.Look forward to meeting all

Loved this race, and it was open to DC Tri Club members early, and just got this email:

On the first day of registration to the general public, and as of 9:45am EST, The Nation's Triathlon is 20% sold out. The number of slots is limited so if you haven't registered yet you should do so immediately. Go to http://thenationstriathlon.comto register or for more information on the course.

Definitely sign up! It's going to be a nationally renowned race soon!
