Pre-race routine:

Lots of rain, not sure we were going to even do the event until about 15 minutes prior to the scheduled start.
Event warmup:

Walked about 1.5 miles from the hotel where we met friends to the race venue. Honestly didn't even think the event would go due to the large amount of rain. Didn't eat any breakfast or even bring my mixed gatorade drinks to the race with me.

Comments:

Pretty happy. A pretty good swim even though I havent spent as much time swiming this year as I should have.

Comments:

Rest room break. Had a difficult time finding my bike on the rack. DOH!

Comments:

Went off on the bike with no liquid. Finally got to an aide station at mile 20. Asked for a full gatorade bottle and downed it by mile 24. Stomach cramps soon followed.
Transition 2
  • 05m 5s
Comments:

Again, couldn't locate my spot on the rack. What's up with this, who's moving my stuff?
Run

  • 08m 46s  min/mile
Comments:

Never seemed to get my legs under me. Had some stomach cramps that I think were caused by the large amount of gatorade I drank on the ride. Didn't suffer any legs cramps until about mile 5 and then they were only mild.
Post race
Event comments:

Again, with the consideration of the weather, they did a very good job with the race. Kudo's to all of the volunteers who stuck around through the horrible weather and stuck it out to help out the athletes. They were great!

Tough to race when you don't think its gonna happen.  Way to gut it out anyway.  Glad you stayed.
