So, just about time to start tapering.  :)

Who's staying where for the race?  When is everyone arriving?

Trail West Motel for me! I'm going to be there on Thursday.

I don't know if you joined the yahoo group for the race, but after seeing there the training other people have been doing I decided I needed one more week before my taper. I'm a little frightened of this bike course.

I like to travel.

I wanted to do an Iron distance race this year, and didn't register for any of the WTC/NAS events.

It has a great reputation as a "independant".

I have friends in the Seattle area.

I like to travel.

I'm doing the Half!  I don't think there is a thread for the half. And if there was a thread, I'd be the only person posting on it. I talk to myself enough.

We should have a small BT dinner!!! Laughing

Flying out with Dumpster. We arrive in Seattle 9/12.

5 days and counting. I am traveling from Portland,OR on Friday morning. THis is my first Iron distance race. I am getting a little nervous. We are staying at the Grand Coulee Motel. Tried to stay at Banks lake but signed up too late and by the time I went to make room reservations the lake was sold out. Bummer.

Have a great week everyone.

I think so. This is my first iron but from what I have been reading the body is supposed to be tired then two days before the race the body is supposed to recover and then you are supposed to be antzy until the race. Lets see if that happens.

I didn't know there was a thread for the GC. Wow! Did you all have fun? It would have been fun to meet up with everyone. That was quite a course! I still can't walk!
