Biking with Plantar Fasciitis

I've had PF issues sine last December that have practically halted my running. But I have managed to bike a bit.

My son (15) struggles with Plantar Fascitis as a cross country runner. Whenever it flares up, his doctor encourages him to ice, stretch the calves, and bike to continue his cardio workout. He wears bike shoes, clips and pedals and has had no add'l problems after riding his bike. Good luck!

Developed this last year. Most painful when I get out of bed in the morning.
Pod doc gave me a brace to wear to bed (of course he was all out of the black lace version )
but I wat too cheap to get the expensive inserts and also I picked out an article from one of the Tri magazines which talked about it and offered exercises. My pain just about gone.

I have had P.F for years and during that time I wasnt not able to run. However, biking gave me almost no pain. BUt you need to make sure you have good supportive shoes. I found a pair that actually feel better on my feet than any of my other runnig shoes!!!. Just wish I could run in them
