I've never done it, but it's probably well over an hour by car. It's 75 miles as the crow flies and there's no good direct route. It's about an hour and a half for me, and I'm just driving down tomorrow morning, since the race doesn't start til 10, I wouldn't have to get up obscenely early either. But I'm also not hard core and am not planning to do a serious warm-up or anything. It's just a sprint, and I am not awesome enough that I don't want to tire myself out beforehand. |

And they're very mischievous: I hear they swim ahead of each wave and try to get you to go around the course the wrong way. |

Mapquest - it's mostly highway driving for me, though - taking 95 down and then some stuff from there. I have the map that the site provides. Maybe I'll run directions through yahoo too and see if there are any discrepancies. I don't have time to go get an Atlas or anything tonight (babysitting after work). |
