Extreme Veteran 495   Bluffton, SC |  Subject: (lunch today) I am SOOOO UpsetSo my buddy who owns a sandwich shop opened a new one near my office. He gave me a $20 cert to try out his “products”. Well today I drove there looking for the shop which has been there for 3 months and I could not find the shop so I called. The lady who answered could hardly speak English let alone American.(joke for us foreigners). I pulled into a “Sonic” to get the directions but I could not understand the lady. So I decided instead of wasting more time I’ll just settle for a burger from Sonic which will be the first time ever eating there. Well what a mistake that was. Junk food is not my usual flavor and I haven’t had a burger in 2 years. Secondly it was rubbish!, Disgusting! And I feel like I need to purge. Where would you eat in an emergency? Well, ..... wheat grass shot anyone? |

But, if I'm feeling like something more, I go to taco bell and get a chicken grilled stuffed burrito. I read in some health magazine, with regards to fast food, taco bell has the better choices. I don't know if I believe that or not - and fast food really sucks in general...... |

I prefer to eat stuff from home - especially Turkey-BLT/Avocado sandwiches on Ezekial bread...mmm, mmm good! |

There's like a Wawa on every corner, and you can get anything from a salad to a hoagie to a meatball sandwich or cheese steak to soup to milkshakes to mac & cheese or mashed potatoes, and wraps, and fried raviolis. You name, they've got it They even have fresh fruit and hummus, and veggies and dip, and apples and caramel, etc., etc. The food is ready just as quickly as at a fast-food restaurant (even faster). Everything is to go. |

Your grocery store has a salad bar? I am so jealous! One of the stores in town has premade salads that you can buy, but it's mostly iceberg lettuce with one or two slices of cucumber and tomato thrown on top. Blech! Subway is my choice if I need to do a fast food lunch in a pinch. Sweet onion chicken teriyaki, no cheese, fake whole wheat bread but better than plain white and lots of veggies (but no iceberg lettuce). Yummy! |
