Subject: RE: Clydes/Athena's vs. Age Groups
I have my first race next weekend and I signed up as a Clyde. Im 6'4" 235 and will probably always race clyde. Its not to get a medal or anything Im doing it because I qualify...I will probably be MOP or BOP but this is my first race and I need to start somewhere right?

Even if I was fast and 220 lbs I would still race Clyde...why? Because I like to win! Is there anything wrong with that? I would think about doing races in AG just to see how good I could do against the little guys but I dont see anything wrong with 205lb guys that swim/bike/run like greased lightning racing as a Clyde. They still have to move that 205lbs the same distance every one of those 135lb guys does. Tell one of those little guys to put on a 70lb vest and see how fast he can move.
