Elite  3223    Hendersonville |  Subject: I booked the IMFL Spectator/Volunteer/Jockstrap house!!Anyone that still needs a place to stay..I booked an amazing house that we can fit a few more people in. Here is the link: http://www.vrbo.com/58275 This is very convenient to the race. It's a 4 bedrrom, 5 bath house with a pool! We have 4 people staying so far...me, Jeff (Q), Sherri (Oliveview), and Rich (rschlesinger). We are especially looking for someone who might be interested in getting there on Thursday so Sherri can share the cost of that night with someone since most of us aren't getting there till Friday. Post if you want to join in. The cost for the house is 200 per night, split by the number of people. Example: If we keep it at 4 people, it's 50 bucks per night, etc. I booked it Thursday-Sunday (race is on Saturday). Jessica |

I had to book it that extra day so we all wouldn't have to leave by 9AM Sunday when everyone will be registering. This is going to be a full house, so no complaining if you end up on a floor or couch. The only people guaranteed a room are Sue and Shaun since I don't want to here them making bam-bam. We have 2 rooms with king beds, one room with a queen and twin, and one room with 2 twins. There is also a trundle in there somewhere, plus a pull out couch in the living room. So it looks like we will all have a bed. The best part?!?! No racers in the house so we can sty up late and be noisy and eat bad food! And drink! |

Things here in Oregon are going OK. Can't run (got PF, bone spurs bad!!!), but been getting 12-15K yards in the pool weekly, so my swimming has improved with leaps and bounds. Just got my bike down and rode it for the first time since IMAZ on Sunday. Felt good to get back on it. My goal for the rest of the year is to get healthy and hit it hard next year at my local races. I am going to do the Alcatraz Sharkfest Swim in San Francisco in June, so looking forward to that (especially the food). My next IM won't be until IMCDA in '09, so no long hours on the trainer next year. Other than that, been coaching my son's football team and enjoying the family. Us non-racers aren't planning any crazy workouts or anything are we. I'll assume we'll be way too PS - jockstrapper available. I've got some finish line duties, but am otherwise available for the right price or for a pitiable story. |
