Woke up late. Got to race at 6:45. Luckily the race didn't start on time.....

My buddy and I decided to not wear wetsuits last minute when we saw them significantly shorten the swim course due to the rough water. I think it payed off. It meant a slightly slower swim time by maybe 30 seconds, but more than made up for it with a really fast transition.

Strong headwind the first 2-3 miles meant slower times. I averaged pretty good MPH considering. One person passed me from the age group which felt good.

Went without the socks which was good for a fast transition but it hurt the feet badly. I was hoping for a little faster times. But felt good considering.
