Subject: travelling with bike (flying)
Hi all,
just chasing some tips on tavelling with your bike on the plane. need to travell from brisbane to perth (about 5hrs) to do my first ironman. already have a bike case borrowed from a friend just wondering what to look out for and what really will help.

Put all the screws and such from the headset in a very very well sealed bag. Or better yet, don't pack them in the case with the bike.

Know how pedals thread.

Make sure you're comfortable with re-assembling it yourself, and know how to adjust limits and indexing on your deraileurs.

Make sure you put the handlebars/stem back on *tight*.
