I should work 40-55 but in reality I probably work just under 40 a week.  I work flexible hours so as long as my job gets done no worries.  I probably take longer lunches than I should and get there a little after 8 and leave right at 5 so probably less than 40 by a little.  Average for the year is probably right at 40 with some extra hours.

Where's the 100+ option?

I thought you finished residency?

Believe me, I feel for you. The ER gig does have it's benefits!

Where's the "As little as humanly possible" option?

I'm a straight 40-hour guy. Overtime holds little draw for me. I think the last time I put in more than 40 was...  February? And it wasn't much more than 40.

I work about 40 hours a week, with occasional overtime. However, my commute adds 10 hours a week.

You've got a tough one-but don't most folks up there get up REALLY early to avoid the heat? Could you find some of them to train with? It always seems to help if you're meeting someone. Is there a Vegas Tri Club? Good Luck!

How do I sign up for the "don't work, can train whenever I want" answer? Perhaps I'll start playing powerball...

I "work" about 40hrs per week at my current job. I have good/bad hours depending on how you look at it. I don't have to be to the office until 9am, so morning workouts are very easy for me. Bad, I don't get out of work until 6pm so evening workouts are a bit tougher now that day light is becoming a factor.

I have about a 45min drive each way so in effect I am gone from 8am - 7pm each day. Weekends are not an issue for me normally.

Perhaps the single most important reason why I am trying to stay where I am as long as I can. I work 35 hours (2p-10p, 1hr dinner) per week and am 8-10 minutes from home.  All of this on Long Island, NY (commuter hell).  Could I make more $$$$ elsewhere?  Absolutely.  But at what cost?  Hasn't translated into increased training time lately, but I do love my mornings with my son.

Depends if im on call for a weekend or not..

55-60 hrs on a non-call week. If on for the weekend, physically present at work >70-80 hrs but answering pages and need to be able to go in Friday night to monday mornings. Kind of makes long rides or swim hard.

Workouts are early AM or late in evenings after kids go to bed.
