Subject: Wet Suit Rentals - Raleigh area or WIlmington
I am in need of a wetsuit for Oct 6th - Pinehurst Triathlon.

All of the women's Med at inside out sports are rented. I'm going to be in Wilmington this weekend for the triathlon and was wondering if anyone knew of rental places there I could check out since I'm going to be in town. Or does anyone know of another place to rent locally? I've checked out renting online and it is a possibility if I don't find anything local.

I called both locations of Fleet Feet here in the Raleigh area, and neither one rents wetsuits anymore.  Pity, since they used to have great service, selection, and quality, and were about $5 cheaper than IOS.

Thanks - I tried them on Sat too. It's a shame that more places aren't renting. I just don't want to buy one.
I did call IOS and one of the guys recommended I tri on a Men's small and see if that works - so that might be an option.

They do, but the women's size M was rented for the weekend I need. I'm going to go back and try on a men's small and see if that works.

If you don't have any luck in Raleigh or Wilmington there is Off N Running Sports store in Greensboro that rents wetsuits.

I have used wetsuitrentals.com. They say they need 2 weeks in advance, but I was able to do it about 1 week in advance. All I did was send them an email to confirm I could get it on time, once they did, I filled out the request form on-line and I had the wetsuit 2 days later.

OK, I'm a newbie. So, to be honest, I don't even know what a Tri wet suit looks like, but.....

Could you maybe use one for Scuba Diving? Scuba shops generally have shorties (with short sleeves and thigh length pants), and Farmer John/Janes (sleeveless but with long pants), etc. And they probably have thinner ones (3 mm or so) available, since it's not really cold in the NC water.

If you can't find one at a Tri shop, perhaps call a Scuba place to ask if they have something that would work....?
