Subject: RE: Emerald Point Tri The water temp last year was 75 degrees - air temp was around 60 as I recall, so the water really felt like bath water. Right now the lake is 81 with cooler air temperatures forecasted for the next week and hours of daylight shrinking. I'd say it'll probably be under 78 degrees. The waves last year I think were supposed to be 2 minutes apart, but it seems like they were closer to 4 or 5 minutes apart. You'll be able to stand up in the water if you stay closer to shore. As for the swim start, it's a common fear. Seed yourself accordingly - if you're a slower swimmer don't let the pain train line up behind you... get behind them. Good Luck!
