Total Time = 1h 19m 45s
Overall Rank = 25/
Age Group = 25-29
Age Group Rank = 2/12
Pre-race routine:

Woke up and had some toast for breakfast. I don't start until 11:38 or so, but want to get there early to watch others and make sure I get everything set up where I want it as this will be my first indoor swim. Hung around with some BT'ers, mishap, j-cow, mutri, and triinforsept.
Swim
  • 07m 32s
  • 500 yards
  • 01m 31s / 100 yards
Comments:

Swim was good, went out a little hard so the second half was a little harder. Overall good swim.
What would you do differently?:

Not push as hard on the first 100 yards
Transition 1
  • 00m
Bike
  • 42m 50s
  • 13.8 miles
  • 19.33 mile/hr
What would you do differently?:

Not much, I flew on the way out with the wind, but just got my azz kicked on the way back. Overall I was happy with my average as it was my highest which was awesome.
Transition 2
  • 00m
Run
  • 28m 1s
  • 3.1 miles
  • 09m 02s  min/mile
Comments:

The winds on the bike just killed my legs and I struggled on the run. Had to stop twice to stretch and had to walk a couple of times as I started to cramp.
What would you do differently?:

DO trail runs.
Post race
Warm down:

Walked around and grabbed some food and waited for other Donkey's and BT'er to finish.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

WIND, and no trail work.

Event comments:

One thing I didn't account for was the fact that I didn't start until around 11:45 or so which I am not used to. I ate my normal pre race meal, but instead of starting at 8 I didn't start until 11:45 so I didn't have much energy. Took a gel right before the race and 1 on the bike, but it wasn't enough. I think this hurt my performance somewhat.
