Aikidoman - 2007-10-02 9:44 AM Here are some engagement pics. I will put a couple more up after the "event". The third one down is one of my favorites I through in. It's the fiance "at work" modeling for a poker event (yes, body paint). I'm the big goon on the left next to my lifelong crush Jennifer Tilly and her poker BF Phil Lock.

Thanks for the body paint!!!

congrats,, Just buy all the tri-gear first and what 's left over goes to shoes, purses etc... unless of course you registered at the local bike shops and running stores.. Hey how cool would that be.

Enjoy the day but remember it's all about her

Funny thing is, I already have everything I would need for the house, so I actually (as a joke) suggested getting registered at my LBS. Eveyone could have made a donation to a new Cervelo. Ahhhh, that didn't go over very well! So now we are getting pointless things like a "cheese serving set" and a new hand mixer (even though I have two already, but not a RED one!)

sell it all on ebay and put it towards a bike !!!

really your wife to be is a dancer??  I'm thinking that she wouldn't even need to train for the tri's all that much.. all of the dancer's I know are in incredible shape, I can't believe how hard they work and the amount of time practing

I have finally caught up to her with my aerobic capacity after almost a year of constant training averaging 8 hrs a week of cardio. Her resting HR was so low that I thought she was dead sometimes! I slapped my HRM on her for fun one time and she can walk around the house in the 50's... It takes me a full night's rest and laying in bed to get mine in the 40's/50's. Amazing.

It's just that her swim/bike/run technique are not very good, so it gets her tired quickly. However, it wouldn't take her long to get good if she wanted. Plus, being 5'7", 125#, with broad shoulders and slightly longer than average arms, she has the build to be FAST....

Thanks! I overachieved for sure!

I guess once in a while it DOES pay to be a sweet, charming, caring, athletic, and funny man who knows how to treat a lady well and has a good job. Oh, and humble too!

Nice guys don't always finish last - as long as your patient!

And here I was, going to write something about your "determination" photo - can't now cuz it would blow my "good guy" persona.....

Thanks again!

Went to get the tux today - doesn't fit! The venue has the ordered the wrong color linens, and family is starting to filter into town. The better half is freak'n out.....! (kind of funny, but I didn't say that - at least not out loud).

As for family, maybe I'll just slip them a couple hundred bucks and tell them to go gamble or go to a buffet and stay out of the way!
