Swim
Comments: Don't know how she did in each event. Times were according to me taking splits. Swim was a time-trial start; swimmer off each 4-5 seconds. She did great and passed at least 5 kids that started ahead of her. What would you do differently?: Nothing Transition 1
Comments: This being the first time Sydney has done anything like this, she didn't really practice the transitions at all. She really lingered in the T1 and took a lot of time that could have put her in the hardware. What would you do differently?: Practice the T1 transition. There is a lot to do there and especially when you are new to the sport and nervous. Bike
Comments: Sydney did very good in the bike portion. What would you do differently?: More training Transition 2
Comments: Sydney swam, biked and ran in her swimsuit. She did very good in T2 since she basically just had to get off her bike and leave it there. She came running out of T2. What would you do differently?: Nothing Run
Comments: Sydney did great. Her pace was an 8 min mile pace. I'm glad I wasn't racing against her. She would have blown by me. What would you do differently?: More training Post race
Warm down: Sydney finished and was syched! She had so much fun doing this race. What limited your ability to perform faster: Transition area and more training. Event comments: I was so proud of Sydney. Since I got back involved in tris last year, she has been begging to do a triathlon. I thought that it was just because she wanted to make daddy proud. It may have been that and it surely did make me proud but she was so excited after the race that I can see that she sincerely wants to continue training and doing tris. We got home Sunday evening and Sydney was so pumped and excited that she could not go to sleep. She kept asking when is the next one. Folks, you better watch out. There's a new sherrif in tri-town and her name is Sydney. 7 years old and already done a tri and looking for her next one. Daddy is surely proud. (Now I am going to HAVE to get serious in my training to be able to keep up with her)! :) Last updated: 2007-09-25 12:00 AM

FYI>>>This is a place holder entry for my daughter's first triathlon. She is 7 years old and wants to do what her Daddy has done.
Got to the event @ 2:00 to get her packet. Race didn't start until 4:30 so we had a lot of time to set up transition area and goof off.
Nothing really, just walked around checking everything out.
