As for the curse, I think the blood of CS's sock was deemed an acceptable sacrifice, and thus the curse was lifted. I have a buddy who is also a yankee fan, and he said he could not cheer for them after the way they did Bernie Williams. I hate the yankees, but I have respect for BW and the way he played the game. Anyway, my buddy said he would cheer for the Phillies this year. Great. I told him if he was looking at yankee box scores or cheered for them in anyway, the Curse of The Bernito would come down upon the yankees. The defense is prepared to rest its case (though I never count them out until I read about Georgie Porgie's final tirade the next day). |
