Event comments:

There was no water at aid station 2 and some other station the tables were not setup so there was no water. Luckily I brought my fuel belt. I started with heed and pedialite. As the heed vanished I put water and sustain energy, but stopped and drank lots of water. I was trying to the run walk technique but was losing so much time half way through I decide to just run but by that time the heat had fried my legs and I had no power.
My brother started the race with me but jumped out at mile 3 because I was going to fast for him (9min pace), then I remembered I need to rest for a minuted after every mile. My good friend Eileen jumped in at mile 13 and luckil;y she did. I was getting a stomach ache from the sustain energy and she carried my fuel belt. That releved pressure from my stomach and my arms. She is truly a good friend. Thank you Eileen, you Rock! My family was waiting for me at the jumping bean again. Brett and Chris were there too. Its always nice to see friendly people at a race. In between mile 20 and 21 Police were telling us to walk. I thought becasue the ground was wet. So we ran walked to mile 21 and between mile 21 and 22 we heard rumours that the race was cancelled. I told Eileen that my brother was jumping in at mile 23 and she then dropped out. All along the way we kept hearing that we should walk not run. I did not care I was hydrated and felt ok. Mile 24 I finally bonked and could not run anymore. I walked 4 min. and ran 1 min. Mile 25 just walked. I saw the finsih line and caught up to Derrick. I decided I would sprint in but only was able to jogg in. I had taken some motrin at mile 23 but still felt sore. I sat down for a good half hour and my borhter drove me home. I filled the tub up with cold water and epson salt and relaxed.
