We're getting together a pool to bet on what you injure in each race, because you have the worst luck on the planet. Bike wreck, rock embedded in your foot, I remember flats at Disco as well...seriously, we have to come up with some sort of gambling pool based on you.

My vote is for tripping at the WR Marathon and tumbling into the lake (jk Clint).

I'm voting for some sort of massive paper cuts  from the cups at the aid stations or a disloctated finger..... something small enough to still finish the rae.. but good enough for a photo and for us to continue the betting pool

I've got $10 that an crazed dear tries to cross the stream of 20,000+ runners and collides with Clint. That'd be about his luck and provide for the requisite scrapes and bruises.

I'm thinking (since he noted his lack of in his race report) that Clint will purchase some lace locks (yankz) and install them so that everyone knows he's a triathlete, but being a triathlete he doesn't realize how strong he is (I don't need a pull....) and pulls them too tight. During the next race (a marathon I believe), they explode under the intense pressure, shooting debris upward injuring both knees, his man card, and both nipples before imbedding somewher in his lower chin.

Next up is the White Rock Marathon.  And if Gary wins, trust me, there is no conspiracy...

Seriously though, the string is over.  I'm feeling the positive vibes.  Good things are on the horizon!

I told Clint about the pace groups so he will be staying with the 4 hr pace group. Everything will be going fine until they get to the lake. I freak gust of wind will blow the sign out of the pace leaders hand. The sign will catch Clint's left ear just right and cleanly slice it off. Being the trooper he is, Clint will pick up the ear and at the next aid station and he will pack it in ice. He will run the rest of the marathon and make his 4 hr goal, all the time carrying the ear in the ice filled cup. After the race, he will go to the ER were the ear is reattached with no complications. Put me down for $20.

Now I'm leery of being near the 4 hr pace group. Suppose he really does have good karma going into this race and then suppose the freak gust of wind happens which blows the sign from the pace leaders hand. It then heads right towards Clint but due to karma he chooses that moment to stop and tie his shoe and the sign hits me! Hmmmm.

I think I need to run more to increase my marathon pace to avoid this.

I think the lesson here is to either be significantly faster or significantly slower than Clint to avoid collateral damage.

It almost sounds like Clint is a rookie nascar driver at Talladega for the first time and everyone is trying to stay away from him to avoid "The Big One".

clint translator

Good karma = minor injury

i'm still thinking paper cup injury , or he gets distracted at the 19 mile aide station which is "manned" by hooter girls, and trips over the painted line on the road. and gets minor road rash on his hands breaking his fall.. or some sort of whiplash to the neck at that aid station as the cute girls notice his Yanks and comment on the studly tri-guy..

Put me down for $10 on a paper cup incident.  Although I feel like some sort of "wardrobe malfunction" may be a good prediction as well.   Hmmm.

OH! I finally have one to throw into the betting pool:

Clint is running along... and because he has lost so much weight his running shorts start to fall off him. The shorts quickly slide off his hips and drop to his ankles in mid stride.

As you can guess, it's a face plant from there.

I put $25 on it.

Double or nothing says that not only does he injure himself, but he manages to sign-up for another marathon before the finish

I wouldn't make this bet with Aaron!  Sorry man, but I'm looking out for the people.

but what about the dogs... I can see him spilling either some gu's or gatoraid on his shirt/shorts and someone dog runs out and trips him by wrapping the leash around his legs....

I can also see me laughing so hard about all of this, falling myself... but out of the reach of aarrrons camera so there will be no photo proof..

if all else fails I'll photoshop an injury to his race photo..

I'll likely be at White Rock and slightly inebriated so I can help facilitate some of these predictions.

Sorry Clint.  Just trying to make a buck here.

While I don't know JC....I'd just like to add......

Gust of wind takes him into the lake. With it being cold during WR (and the triathlete he is), he gets confused and starts to swim. With there being no turn bouys, he gets more confused and swims back to shore. Now....soaking wet, cold, and still a little disoriented he finds an unattended bike and begins to ride......

Next year....WR promoters make it a "fest" and have a sprint triathlon added to the 1/2 and full marathon.......thus extending OUR tri season even more.

See....JC does do some good.

Sorry I don't know you....this would probably be a lot funnier had we known each other.
